L&D Designs terms & conditions for Peterborough services

Please review the agreement that applies when you request Peterborough painting and decorating services from L&D Designs.

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of www.lnd-designs.co.uk and the provision of services by L&D Designs (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing the website or engaging David Underwood to carry out decorating work, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, please refrain from using the site or commissioning our services.

The following terminology applies to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any quotation or agreement issued to you: “Client”, “You” and “Your” refers to the person or organisation requesting decorating services. “Company”, “Ourselves”, “We” or “Us” refers to L&D Designs. All Terms refer to the offer, acceptance, and consideration necessary for L&D Designs to supply decorating services in accordance with UK law.

Use of the Website

You may browse www.lnd-designs.co.uk to view information about our painting and decorating services, request a quote, or contact us. You agree not to use the website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation or interfere with another user’s access.

Quotations and Acceptance

All quotes are free and valid for 30 days from the date issued. A booking confirmation (written or verbal) acts as acceptance of the quote and these Terms. Any changes to the scope of work will require an updated quote or variation agreement.

Client Responsibilities

To allow work to proceed smoothly you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the rooms, surfaces, materials, and access required.
  • Move furniture to the centre of the room or ensure it is removed, and protect or remove valuable and fragile items.
  • Allow reasonable access to electricity, water, and welfare facilities as required.
  • Advise us of any known hazards such as asbestos, damp, or structural issues.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the agreed work unless otherwise stated in writing. We accept payment by BACS or cash. Invoices must be settled within seven days; late payment may result in interest being charged at the prevailing statutory rate.

Variations and Additional Work

Where additional work is requested or required due to unforeseen circumstances (for example, hidden damage or extra preparation), we will agree the cost with you before proceeding. Unless otherwise agreed, extra work will be added to the final invoice.

Delays and Access

We will always aim to start and complete work on the agreed dates. If delays occur outside our control (such as lack of access or materials), we reserve the right to adjust the schedule and recover reasonable costs incurred.

Liability

L&D Designs is fully insured for public liability. We will take reasonable care to protect your property and belongings, however we cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by unforeseen structural issues, hidden defects, or failure to follow preparatory instructions.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel or postpone the work, please let us know as soon as possible. We may charge for any materials ordered specifically for your project or for time already spent in preparation.

Terms of Business

The following practical terms apply to every decorating project we undertake:

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date quoted.
  • Payment is due on completion of work by BACS or cash.
  • Materials and product specifications are subject to availability and may change if suppliers discontinue stock. Any substitutions will be discussed with you.
  • Additional work outside the agreed scope will be added to the final invoice once approved.
  • Please make sure all furniture is moved to the centre of the room or removed entirely before we arrive.
  • Please remove any breakables and keep children or pets away from the work area for their safety.
